The Student Assistant from the Professional-Axiological Perspective and the Clinical Method

Abstract

Introduction: The training of the student assistant from a professional-axiological perspective ensures the correct application of the clinical method in a future professional, who, in their training, integrates ethical values to address real problems, especially in health, through a systematic method in clinical practice, becoming an active mediator between their learning and teaching, and connecting theory with practice to promote their comprehensive education.Keywords: student assistant; professional-axiological training; clinical method.

Objective: To present the training of the student assistant from a professional-axiological perspective to ensure the correct application of the clinical method in a future professional.

Development: The student assistant must have knowledge for the application of the clinical method, but their axiological training is limited to implementing it as an essential method of clinical practice. Through a critical reflective study, based on analysis and synthesis, as well as the verification of the validity of the viewpoints assumed, as references in professional-axiological training. During the implementation of the clinical method, this was expressed in the development and implementation of a professional-axiological training methodology for the student assistant, which enhances the application of the clinical method in the different stages of clinical practice.

Conclusions: Professional-axiological training is necessary to enhance the application of the clinical method.
